Acorn and oak leaf earrings – handmade and recycled sterling silver shilling
I have used a lovely 100 year old silver shilling as the raw material. These stud type fitting earrings are sweet, lovely, unique, everyday wearable. I have freehand sketched the little acorns and oak leaf on to the silver shilling coin. I then carefully hand engrave the intricate details! I then chop them out with my favourite little jewellers saw.
Each set is completely unique, contemporary, ethical and beautiful. The very fact that they come as a set of three gives you the opportunity to wear a traditional pair of acorns or if you are in the mood, an asymmetrical presentation of oak leaf and acorn. They are presented complete with the sterling silver ‘off-cut’ which beautifully demonstrate the origins of the earrings and connect them to their interesting, recycled material history.
For a very limited time they are also available to order in 22ct gold, recycled from a worn 100 year old plus, but very beautiful solid gold coin.
Sizes : Approx 10mm

Beautiful earrings and love the way they can be mixed to give a different look.
Interesting to get the coin they were cut from. Amazing skill involved in making these, they will be treasured and enjoyed.

The earrings look fantastic and my wife adores them. I ordered a few days before Christmas after checking with Les in the chat and they arrived in time!
