Aeolus – God of Wind necklace – handmade and recycled silver Shilling

Aeolus – God of Wind. Greek God, divine ruler of the four winds and king of the floating island of Aeolia. This pendant is the perfect amulet for all admirers of the strength and power of the wind. I had this image just waiting to spring to life onto a sterling silver shilling. It felt as if this powerful minor god had bided his time and finally appeared. I make sure these celebrations of the power of Aeolus are hand cut only the finest 100+ year old antique sterling silver lucky shillings.

Firstly, I draw Aeolus freehand onto the silver shilling. I then drill several holes and delicately cut the sections are away. Thirdly, I file away the edges and carve, smooth and finally polish the details. The end result is a lovely, original, recycled pendant with a fantastic history.

You are welcome to request some personal, meaningful initials for the reverse.

The Aeolus – God of wind shilling can be presented with a sterling silver necklace with a handmade shepherds crook safety catch and accompanying wee star, moon or heart. Alternatively, it can be worn with a simple but lovely adjustable braided cotton necklace cord.
