Fluttering around the clocks
Recycled antique spoon earrings.
More lovely new earrings which have been individually hand cut from the ‘bowl’ of an antique dessert spoon. These spoons are generally unwanted and discarded and found in local charity shops around Cambridgeshire.
The design is carefully hand drawn onto the spoon and then embellished with a traditional jewellers saw. Each pair is not only completely unique and original but also totally green and ethical. You are welcome to specify a finish, satin brushed matte finish (shown) or highly polished finish.
Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK. Complete with the finest sterling silver earwires and the actual ‘donor spoon’ from which they were recycled. This is a lovely object which will remind you of the green, ethical origins of the earrings and wondrous prior history!
Size : Approx 32 mm * 14 mm

My beautiful earrings are even lovelier than I imagined. The spoon they were created from is also a work of art, engraved with the same dandelions and butterflies as the earrings. Opening up a Hairy Growler package, even when you know what’s in it, is a total delight. Les pays attention to detail in everything he does, he is the consummate artist with a conscience. I love his jewellery!!!
