Celtic knot brooch – Recycled Spoon

Celtic knot brooch  –This brooch is a wonderful and simple recreation of modified triquetra celtic knot design. I have given the design variation a sculptural length and slimness. This affords it a more modern, contemporary feel and ties in with the donor source material, namely the spoon.

Just like we use knots to bind or connect in the physical world, we use celtic knot art and jewellery to tie and bind our spiritual selves to the timeless, non physical spiritual world and ancestors.  These knots are complete loops that have no start or finish and could be said to represent eternity whether this means loyalty, faith, friendship or love.  Only one thread is used in each design which symbolizes how life and eternity are interconnected.

Each one is hand pierced from the centre of an old dessert spoon. Each one is completely unique and very special. The design is original, handcrafted and recycled.

Included with brooch is the ‘donor’ spoon from which it was cut. This is a lovely object to keep with the brooch when it is not being worn.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)

XL size approx 225 mm (includes an extra link; i.e. another lovely flower, butterfly, bird, etc section custom made)

XXL size approx 250 mm ((includes an extra two links; i.e. another couple of lovely flower, butterfly, bird, etc sections custom made)
