Recycled coins
Silver shillings, old ‘ship haypenny’ half pennies and a ‘thrupney-bit’ threepence coins are recycled to craft these lovely Oak leaf and acorn earrings. These coins are unwanted by coin collectors due to wear marks from being used to buy and sell over one hundred years ago.
Rather than let them simply be melted down for the silver content I absolutely love coming up with designs and ideas to transform them into something desirable. By doing this the historical details are retained, simultaneously adding depth, interest and intrigue to the design.
The Oak leaves and acorns have been individually hand cut from the old ‘out of circulation’ coins with a traditional jewellers saw.
For added interest an ‘off-cut’ surrounding coin is included with the earrings. The Oak leaves can also be engraved on the reverse with personal initials upon request. You are welcome to choose from two silver leaves, two ‘half penny’ leaves, a mixture of both or all four leaves to share with someone special.
Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK. Complete with the finest sterling silver earwires.

    Just Fabulous

    These earrings i received in silver with silver acorns are fabulous, they are so comfy to wear. I can wear them with my jeans or dressing up for a nightout, they look good anytime, i have received some lovely comments whilst wearing them.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)

XL size approx 225 mm (includes an extra link; i.e. another lovely flower, butterfly, bird, etc section custom made)
