The Apple tree is very much a potent symbol of beauty, Eternity and rebirth. In Brythonic mythos it is associated with the otherworld in the form of Avalon.  In the tale of Cormac’s Adventures in the land of Promise (Echtra Cormaic) we are told of a warrior called Manannán Mac Lir who had a branch made of silver from which hung three Golden apples.  The branch, called the Craebh Ciui in Irish made sweet music which inspired joy and healed the sick.

Apples are one of the magickal trees part of the Celtic Ogham tree alphabet, its Ogham name being Quert.   “The gifts of the Apple Fairy are everlasting youth and beauty, although sadly such matters often give rise to strife….  The apple fairy invites us to enjoy sensuous pleasures of all descriptions, in the knowledge that there is plenty to go around, and that nothing that is truly ours can ever be taken away from us.” ~ From The Fairy Bible, Teresa Moorey

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
