The Spoon Runes

Spoon Rune stone earrings – handmade and recycled from beautiful vintage teaspoons

Rune stone earring shapes and forms are perfect for carving into silver and stone, and are an intriguing part of Celtic and Northern European story. The Runes look striking as matching pieces, but can also bound together as a collection depending on mood and purpose.  These are wonderfully unique, ethically recycled earrings that demonstrate a love for and protect of the natural world whilst celebrating the language of our ancestors.  Each pair is carefully and considerately handcrafted from a beautiful old unwanted teaspoon, lost from a greater set throughout the ages.  

Each set of spoon rune earrings is present with the ‘donor’ spoon which is a wonderful reminder of the green, ethical and original origins of the earrings. This can be engraved with a special date, initials, name, etc

The reverse of each rune charm clearly demonstrates the ethical origins of the raw materials used to create the rune.  This compounds the power, will and intent of the charm, making the purpose clearer and more effectual.  Download Silver Rune chart

Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK. Complete with the finest sterling silver ear wires.  You are also welcome to request the actual ‘donor’ spoon which closely connects the wearer to the interesting prior history and green, ethical origins off the earrings.  If this option is chosen I embellish the spoon with extra shroomy loveliness and you can also request a name, date, etc to be inscribed on the handle if there is room! if not on the inside of the ‘bowl’

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)
