Recycled One Norwegian Øre
This piece of work represents years of practice cumulating in my ability to hand cut out letters less than 1mm tall! It’s been a long journey and a lot of practice but I cherish the outcome, especially these tiny squirrels. The coin is carefully hand cut and carved using traditional hand saws, chisels and files. This traditional process allows me to have a close connection to each piece, ensuring the end result is personal and unique.
Handmade and recycled in Cambridge, England.
Size : Approx 15mm diameter.

Pauline –
Superbly crafted squirrel in a natural pose is a very attractive subject for a pendant. Repurposing a obsolete coin to create that pendant is genius.
Beautifully executed, adorable squirrel with perfect features shown in a natural pose eating an acorn – makes a very attractive subject for a pendant. I like the detail of the tiniest piece of the squirrel’s ear and the tip of the tail encroaching into the rim of the shilling – beautiful. The craftsmanship is exquisite. Using his gift of knowing the right amount of detail to give life to the piece, the work is uncluttered and visually appealing. The extra acorn, made from an old threepenny piece, attached to the superbly crafted clasp is hallmark feature for Mr. Growler.
