Recycled Spoon Brooch
This lovely, uplifting, symbolic little brooch has been hand cut from the ‘bowl’ of a wonderful vintage dessert spoon. As with most pieces i create, the design is hand sketched on to the surface. The rough outline drawing is meticulously follwed with an extra fine jewellers saw.
A few other simple, traditional tools is all that is needed to transform an unwanted, discarded, dessert spoon into a contemporary, desirable brooch.
You are welcome to request this brooch with or without the olive branch! The remaining spoon handle is also given the Hairy Growler treatment. A little detail, time and patients transforms the remnant. This is also included as a momento of the brooches humble origins! A fab talking point, a little home for the brooch when not being worn and wonderful green, ethical and original gift.
Handmade and recycled in Cambridge.

    I bought a ‘Peace and Love’ brooch for my daughter as she is heading off to Canada for a year and this was her farewell gift. Needless to say the piece is beautiful and she loved it.

    Lovely wedding gift

    The spoon is delightful and exactly as I anticipated plus very nicely boxed. It arrived within 2 weeks which was brilliant as I requested delivery in time for a wedding. My only negative is that I requested engraving which was fine except it appeared on the underside of the spoon handle and not the top…..it would take better pride of place on the top side where there are no stamp marks to obscure it.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..

Extra small : approx 170 mm

Small size : approx 185 mm

Medium size : approx 195 mm

Large size : approx 210 mm (good size if you want a looser dangly medium fit)
