Willow Tree jewellery – Willow leaf earrings handcrafted and recycled from silver shillings. 

Willow tree jewellery, Willow leaf earrings.  Silver shillings are recycled to craft these lovely Willow leaf earrings. These coins are unwanted by coin collectors due to wear marks from being used to buy and sell over one hundred years ago.  Rather than let them simply be melted down for the silver content I absolutely love coming up with designs and ideas to transform them into something desirable. By doing this the historical details are retained, simultaneously adding depth, interest and intrigue to the design.  The Willow leaves have been individually hand cut from the old ‘out of circulation’ coins with a traditional jewellers saw then carved and engraved .

For added interest an ‘off-cut’ surrounding coin is included with the earrings. The Willow leaves can also be engraved on the reverse with personal initial upon request.   Handmade and completely recycled in Cambridge, UK. Complete with the finest sterling silver earwires.

The Willow, the Saille, the Ogham-letter-S.  The Ruler-of-the-5th-Lunar-Month, 15th-April-12th-May.  The willow tree connects with and symbolises Powers, Healing, Help-in-Grief-and-Death, Inspiration, Fertility, Love, Protection.

NECKLACE INFORMATION

Many of the necklace / pendant designs are complete. These designs have a sterling silver chain attached to the pendant from both sides. This design is perfect for looking in a mirror to fasten the necklace. It also makes a fabulous feature of the handmade hook catch (and star if chosen).  The necklace length you choose includes the length of the actual pendant. Do not worry about the pendant dimensions we will take care of your order. Order the necklace length you would normally wear and the necklace you receive will sit in the perfect position..
